Effect of Temperature upon Electrical Conductivity of Sodium Bis(2-ethylhexyl) Sulfosuccinate + 2,2,4-Trimethylpentane + Water + Phase Transfer Catalyst

Abstract: The effects of temperature and the concentration of dibenzo crown ethers (DBCEs) upon the electrical conductivity of the system sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate (AOT) + 2,2,4-trimethylpentane (isooctane) + water has been studied. The DBCEs (phase transfer catalysts) used in the ternary systems were dibenzo-15-crown-5, dibenzo-18-crown-6, dibenzo-21-crown-7, dibenzo-24-crown-8, and dibenzo-30-crown-10.
