Effect of ultrafine bubbles on ethanol enrichment using ultrasonic atomization

Abstract: To improve ethanol enrichment performance using ultrasonic atomization, ultrafine bubbles (UFB) were added to an ethanol aqueous solution. The ethanol concentration in the solution and the flow rate of carrier gas were changed, and the effect of UFB on the ethanol concentration in the collected mist was investigated. For all conditions, the ethanol concentration in the collected mist with UFB was higher than that without UFB. Especially, the enrichment effect by UFB was remarkable when the ethanol concentratio… Show more

“…The advantages of ultrasonic atomization separation include simple operation, maintenance-free, and suitability for heat sensitive materials. Ultrafine bubbles water was used as a solvent to improve the enrichment performance using ultrasonic atomization (Yasuda et al, 2020b;2022). The ethanol concentration in the collected mist with ultrafine bubbles was higher than that without ultrafine bubbles (Yasuda et al, 2020b).…”

The ethanol concentration in the collected mist with ultrafine bubbles was higher than that without ultrafine bubbles (Yasuda et al, 2020b). When the ethanol concentration in the solution was low and the carrier gas velocity was slow, the enrichment effect of ultrafine bubbles was particularly remarkable.…”
