Effect on characteristic of optical fiber transmission system due to stimulated Brillouin scattering

Abstract: Stimulated Brilloum Scattering(SBS) is one of important nonlinear optical effects in optical fiber transmission system, it limits the optical power that can be transmitted through fiber. If input optical power is over SBS threshold, part of power will be changed to backward Stokes wave, this process exacerbates the system transmission characteristic very much.
