Effectiveness of Certain Sterilizing Agents for Seedling Incubation in Radiothymidine

Abstract: Abstract. Failure of seed sterilization methods and breakdown in sterile technique can result in catabolism of thymidine by microorganisms during seedling incubation in radioisotope. The effectiveness of some sterilizing agents was monitored by microbiological methods and by thin layer chromatography for the presence of thymidine degradation products.
