Effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme on Knowledge and Attitude on Bradley Method During Childbirth Among Husband of Antenatal Mothers in Selected Hospital, Chennai.

Abstract

A study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of STP Knowledge and attitude on Bradley Method during Childbirth among Husband of Antenatal Mothers in Selected Hospital, Chennai. The quasi experimental one group pre-test posttest design was used for the study. 30 samples were selected from Dr. Kamakshi Memorial Hospital, Chennai by using Probability systematic random sampling technique. The demographic data was collected by using Interview basis. Pretest was conducted by using structured questionnaire and followed by administration of PowerPoint presentation teaching. Posttest was conducted after one week by using same questionnaire. Considering knowledge score, on an average, husbands are improved their knowledge score from 55.97 to 80.20 after the administration of intervention. Difference is 24.23, this difference is statistically signicant. Statistical signicance was calculated by using student's paired 't' test. Considering Attitude score, on an average, husbands are improved their attitude score from 57.10 to 81.80 after the administration of intervention. Difference is 24.70, this difference is statistically signicant. Statistical signicance was calculated by using student's paired 't' test. Hence the study concluded that STP were effective in improving the knowledge and attitude regarding Knowledge and attitude on Bradley Method during Childbirth among Husband of Antenatal Mothers.
