Effects of caffeic acid on doxorubicin induced cardiotoxicity in rats

Abstract: Doxorubicin (Dox) is one of the most potent broad-spectrum antitumor anthracycline antibiotics, its use is limited by the development of life-threatening cardiomyopathy.Doxorubicin generates free radicals and induces oxidative stress associated with cellular injury. Further, it has been shown that free radicals are involved in doxorubicin-induced toxicity. The goal of this study is to investigated the cardio-protective effects of caffeic acid on doxorubicin induced cardiotoxicity. The rats were randomized into… Show more

“…23,24 Increase in cardiac MDA level observed in animals treated with LPV/r is consistent with some reported observations. 25 Elevation in cardiac MDA level observed with respect to treatment with these single agents could be attributed to cardiac injury induced by oxidative stress.…”

“…The correlation between inflammatory markers like C-reactive protein and preeclampsia [10], and the effect of dietary components like caffeic acid on doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity [12], further our understanding of disease prevention and management. Additionally, the psychoimmunological assessment of patients recovered from COVID-19 [13] provides valuable information on the pandemic's long-term effects on mental and physical health.…”

“…With restricted access to robust surveillance systems and comprehensive data on antibiotic resistance, infectious diseases such as COVID-19, and even cancers, comprehending the scope of these issues and developing suitable strategies to address them becomes increasingly crucial in the eld of scienti c research. Incorporating a focus on bacteria, coronaviruses, and cancer, it is imperative to enhance data collection and surveillance mechanisms to effectively monitor and combat these health challenges (7)(8)(9)(10)(11)(12). A multidisciplinary approach encompassing epidemiology, molecular biology, and medical research is essential to gain insights into the spread and mechanisms of antibiotic resistance, the dynamics of COVID-19 transmission, and the complexities of cancer development and progression (13)(14)(15)(16)(17).Arti cial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a powerful tool in the study of antibioticresistant pathogens and their implications for human health.…”
