Effects of diffusional barriers on the extent of presystemic and systemic intestinal elimination of drugs

Abstract: In the present study, a pharmacokinetic model to address the effects of the diffusional barrier between splanchnic bed and enterocytes on the extent of presystemic and systemic intestinal elimination of drugs was developed.
