Abstract:Spreading characteristics of novel alkanoleamineterminated perfluoropolyether (PFPE) films on carbon surfaces were investigated experimentally by using a scanning microellipsometer. It was found that the mobility of the alkanoleamine-terminated PFPE films was lower than that of conventional lubricants that have the same number of OH end groups as that of the alkanoleamine-terminated lubricants. The mobility of ZDPA with a dipropylamine end group (no OH end group) has peculiar characteristics. In other words, i… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
