Abstract: BackgroundThe kangaroo-mother care method (KMC) is a skin-to-skin contact-centered care approach with numerous benefits for neonates, but its impact on the treatment of jaundiced neonates is unknown. “…In relation to clinical conditions such as jaundice, a SR describes that MC combined with phototherapy resulted in lower bilirubin values at 72 hours and a shorter duration of phototherapy in patients with nonpathological hyperbilirubinemia.
