Abstract:Acousto-optic diffraction of pulsed laser radiation on a multi-frequency acoustic wave has been studied. It is established that the high efficiency of diffraction (i.e., the formation of a multi-beam optical field with low losses) can be also achieved for a non-equidistant set of frequencies and, hence, non-uniform distribution of beams in the angular space. Results of experimental verification of the proposed approach are presented.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
