Efficient synthesis of tertiary α-hydroxy ketones through CO2-promoted regioselective hydration of propargylic alcohols

Abstract: A CO2-promoted and silver-catalyzed hydration of propargylic alcohols for the efficient synthesis of α-hydroxy ketones has been developed.
