Egg Sharing Donation: an Ethical Alternative?

Abstract

The demand for in vitro fertilization using doneted eggs is increasing in many countries. There are different alternatives regarding the use of doneted eggs. Among them we discuss egg sharing donation and our results among donors and recipients. CONCLUSIONThe egg sharing donation is an alternative that has been judged to be ethical and that has shown itself to be effective for donors and recipients, making possible for many couples the ability to share costs and harvested eggs. Even more, it has made it possible for two women to realize their dreams of maternity simultaneously, with only a single cycle of stimulation and a single harvesting of eggs.
