Elastic wave propagation in polycrystalline materials at different texture intensities

Abstract: A 3-dimensional (3D) voxel-based synthetic Polycrystalline Volume Element (PVE) is generated at various texture intensities; subsequently, the structural-mechanics module of a commercially available finite element (FE) solver is used to simulate elastic wave propagation through the PVE.
