ELECTRE I Based Relevance Decision-Makers Feedback to the Location Selection of Distribution Centers

Abstract: The location selection of distribution centers is one of the important strategies to optimize the logistics system. To solve this problem, under certain environment, this paper presents a new multicriteria decision-making method based on ELECTRE I. The proposed method helps decision-makers to select the best location from a given set of locations for implementing. After having identified decision-makers, the criteria, and the set of locations, the factors influencing the selection are analyzed in order to iden… Show more

“…It has been noticed, that often alternative solutions and the results of numerical calculations have been validated by applying a MCDM method [91,[105][106][107]. In particular, a sensitivity analysis was usually applied as a complementary approach to check that the results were not influenced by the judgments of decision-makers [83,86,99,101,[105][106][107]109,111].…”

“…Fewer applications were found in the construction management [101][102][103][104], retrofitting [57,[105][106][107], building maintenance [108][109][110] and location selection [111][112][113] application domains. The question of how one method is better suited than another to address a specific problem is constantly scrutinized by researches and practitioners.…”

“…Sánchez-Lozano, et al [58] implemented the ELECTRE III method in the selection of GISbased photovoltaic solar farm sites for Torre Pacheco, Murcia, and the Southeastern region of Spain. Agrebi, et al [59] used ELECTRE technique to assess the location selection of distribution centers. AHP mostly is applied to calculate the weights of criteria.…”

Agrebi, et al [59] used ELECTRE technique to assess the location selection of distribution centers. Ray, et al [60] applied four complete and one partial ranking method (TOPSIS, SAW, GRA, and MOORA) to determine the potential facility location alternative, but the methods gave conflicting outcomes.…”
