Abstract:In this study, we evaluated Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) as a monitoring tool of the physiological state of Bryopsis, Cystoseira, Stypopodium, Cladophora, Taonia, Padina, Ulva and Sargassum tissues. We analyzed the electrical response differences in the EIS between species and in the same seaweed tissue before and after electroporation. Electroporation using high voltage pulsed electric field (PEF) treatment was used as a model for cell disruption affecting the tissue physiology without being notice… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
