Electrically small asymmetric coplanar strip‐fed metamaterial‐inspired antenna for WLAN and satellite‐based applications

Abstract: This article presents an electrically small asymmetric coplanar strip (ACS)fed metamaterial-inspired antenna for multiband operation. The design employs a simple monopole, a set of rectangular split ring resonator (SRR), an inverted U-shaped stub, and a rectangular complimentary split ring resonator (CSRR) in the ground plane to realize four operating bands.
