Abstract:Construction materials as well as the electrode configuration are major factors affecting electricity generation in microbial fuel cells (MFCs). Three graphite plate electrodes (HK06, G347 and POCO3) with different characteristics (specific resistance, grain size and specific gravity) were used to evaluate electricity generation and biofilm formation in MFCs. The electrodes were assessed by operating duplicate MFCs under the same conditions. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and linear… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
