Abstract: Neuronal apoptosis persists throughout ischemic stroke and leads to massive neuron loss, which severely hampers the recovery of neurological function. Clinical evidence has confirmed that EA effectively improves neurological function after stroke, but the undergoing mechanism still needs to be fully clarified.
