“…This information is available only in a very limited number of cored wells. One geological concern is preparing and explaining the sedimentary model with this limited information 16,52,61,[78][79][80] . This study created an electric facies model utilizing a clustering method and well logs in the cored (or non-cored) wells.…”

“…MRGC is one of the few non-parametric and very suitable methods for studying and analyzing data clusters obtained from well logs and drilling cores. This method has several benefits, such as the capability to identify natural patterns in the logs, no need for prior knowledge about the data, an automatic suggestion of the best number of clusters, the lowest parameters and insensitivity to their changes, and no restrictions on the type and number of data and clusters 4,8,46,50,52,72 . To determine the electrofacies with this method, first in the FACIMAGE™ section of the Geolog software, among the petrophysical logs, those logs that were most related to the results target, which include: gamma ray log (CGR), sonic log (DT), density log (RHOB), neutron log (NPHI) and water saturation (SW), is selected.…”

“…Compilation of core porosity and permeability are used to identify these units. Yasmaniar et al (2018) utilized Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to determine the permeability of different Rock Type Using the Hydraulic Flow Unit Concept (Ding et al, 2022;Kharrat et al, 2009;Kianoush et al, 2023c;Mahadasu and Singh, 2022;Masroor et al, 2023;Rafik and Kamel, 2017). Oliveira et al (2020) demonstrated that an inter-clustering process is recommended when selecting data points associated with representative volumes and local spots characterizing HFUs.…”
