Electrohydrodynamic Spray Deposition of ZnO Nanoparticles

Abstract: This paper presents the electrospray deposition of solution-based ZnO nanoparticles. Transparent thin film transistors in active matrix displays have become the most interested research area. Electrospray assures direct deposition by eliminating etching steps required after deposition by other techniques. Uniform layers of minimum thickness 87 nm on glass and 356 nm on polyimide using electrospray experiment is achieved. Contact angle analyzer has been used for finding properties like wetting energy, spreading… Show more

“…Ammonia detection is also one of the main biomarkers in human health monitoring, and selective detection helps in the early diagnosis of several diseases, such as kidney or liver failure. MOX semiconductor-based gas sensors are ideal for the detection of toxic gases, as well as volatile organic compounds [ 30 , 158 , 159 ]. MOX-based sensors are discussed in the section on acetone detection for diabetes analysis.…”

“…In the stable cone jet mode, EHD is ideal for printing and can be used for thin films or pattern deposition on various substrates. The cone jet expands at the substrate sides and makes spray as the distance between nozzle and substrate, i.e., standoff is increased [32]. This distance needs to be optimized to achieve stable cone jet desired for thin film deposition [5].…”

“…2019, 9, x FOR PEER REVIEW 10 of 17 years, the interest in the use of non-contact printing techniques has increased because they are simple, affordable, speedy, adaptable to the fabrication processes, reduce material wastage, and produce high resolution patterns that can be easily controlled by adjusting a few process parameters [52][53][54][55][56][57]. In addition, new and emerging polymeric stamp based printing methods such as nanoimprint, microcontact printing and transfer printing have also attracted significant interest, especially for the production of flexible electronics such as inorganic monocrystalline semiconductors [56][57][58][59][60][61][62].…”
