Electrokinetic repeater of acoustic vibrations

Abstract: It is shown that in an electrokinetic acoustoelectric transducer, when a constant DC electric field (pump voltage) is applied during reception of an acoustic signal, it becomes possible to retransmit the initial external acoustic field. This is due to the presence of simultaneously reverse electrokinetic phenomena in the transducer: electroosmosis and flow potential.
