As multifunctional material for microwave absorption and thermal protection, the dielectric and thermophysical properties of equilibrium phases in LSF(La0.5Sr0.5FeO3)–Al2O3 pseudobinary phase diagram are investigated herein. Four pseudobinary composites are obtained by sintering at 1400 °C for 10 h with different raw components (x wt% LSF‐(100−x) wt% Al2O3, x = 20, 40, 60 and 80), labeled as LSFA20, LSFA40, LSFA60, and LSFA80, respectively. After sintering, the main equilibrium phase in LSFA20 and LSFA40 composites is SrAl12O19‐based solid solution. For LSFA60 and LSFA80, however, LSF‐based and SrAl12O19‐based solid solutions are the main equilibrium phases. The increase of conductive LSF content results in the highest dielectric loss tangent and the best microwave absorbing property in LSFA80, in which the bandwidths for reflection loss less than −10 and −5 dB are about 2.37 and 7.7 GHz, respectively, when the thickness is only 1.5 mm. The thermophysical properties reveal that the thermal conductivity in LSF‐Al2O3 pseudobinary composites shows weak temperature dependence because of the opposite contribution between phonons and electrons. It is lower than that of the traditional thermal barrier coating material of 8 wt% Y2O3‐stabilized zirconia (8YSZ).

Aiming at the concept of "diagnosis", a simple and effective broadband radar cross section (RCS) measurement system is constructed, and some multi-dimensional scattering properties diagnosis techniques are presented based on the system. Firstly, a stepped-frequency signal is employed to achieve high range resolution, combining with a variety of signal processing techniques. Secondly, cross-range resolution is gained with a rotating table, and the high-resolution two-dimensional (2-D) imaging of the scale model is obtained by the microwave imaging theory. Finally, two receiving antennas with a small distance in altitude are used, and the three-dimensional (3-D) height distribution of scattering points on the scale model is extracted from the phase of images. Some typical bodies and a scale aircraft model are diagnosed in an anechoic chamber. The experimental results show that, after scaling with a metal sphere, the accurate onedimensional (1-D) RCS pattern of the model is obtained, and it has a large dynamic range. When the bandwidth of the transmitting signal is 4 GHz, the resolution of the 2-D image can reach to 0.037 5 m. The 3-D height distribution of scattering points is given by interferometric measurement. This paper provides a feasible way to obtain high-precision scattering properties parameters of the scale aircraft model in a conventional rectangular anechoic chamber.

The airport site environmental influence is one important factor to reduce the navigation precision of the microwave landing system (MLS). According to the technology system and navigation principle of MLS, the scheme of hardware-in-the-loop simulation of MLS based on scale model with large scale factor was put forward. We used the controllable laser transmitting equipment to simulate the function of the angle navigation antenna of the MLS, radiating well directional laser scanning beam. According to the electromagnetic similitude theory, we set up the scale model of the environment of an airport, and used the propagation of the laser in the scale model of the airport to simulate the real propagation situation of the navigation signal transmitted by the MLS. The feasibility of this simulation system was analyzed thoroughly. The critical technologies of this system had been researched. At last, the scale model of one real airport was set up; the scale model simulation was conducted. The simulation results indicated the validity of the scale model simulation system of MLS.
