Electron correlation effects in superconducting nanowires in and out of equilibrium

Abstract: One-dimensional nanowires with strong spin-orbit coupling and proximity-induced superconductivity are predicted to exhibit topological superconductivity with condensed-matter analogues to Majorana fermions.
