Emergency decision making with extended axiomatic design approach under picture fuzzy environment

Abstract: Timely and effective emergency decision making (EDM) is the key to control the spread of disasters and reduce the casualties and property losses caused by emergencies. However, due to limited time and insufficient data, it is difficult for decision makers to provide accurate information about emergency incidents. Moreover, the EDM problems become complicated and unstructured requiring the deployment of advanced mathematical techniques to derive the most acceptable response. In this paper, we propose a new EDM … Show more

“…Thus, it is worth putting forward conflict‐elimination method to assist in understanding and analyzing the conflict in UTAE. In addition, the presented approach is a general model, which can be modified and applied in other real‐world applications, such as quality function deployment, 53 emergency decision making, 54 and failure mode risk analysis 55 …”

“…For MAGDM problems in PF environment, Zhang et al [62] introduced an ELECTRE TRI-based outranking approach. To handle emergency decision-making (EDM) problems, a new EDM approach with the help of PFSs was proposed by Ding et al [63]. Jin et al [64] introduced Pearson's correlation-based MADM method in PF environment.…”

“…Aiming at a condition that the decision information is often not represented accurately in some complex situations, fuzzy set theory was proposed by Zadeh 1975. Due to its advantages for the fuzzy information representation, fuzzy sets (FSs) were extended, involving interval‐valued FSs (Turksen, 1986), intuitionistic FSs (IFSs) (Atanassov, 1986) and interval‐valued IFSs (Atanassov & Gargov, 1989), which realized many research achievements (Wang et al, 2014; Wang et al, 2015; Rani & Garg, 2018; Yu et al, 2018a; Ding et al, 2020; Liao et al, 2020). Considering that the above theories cannot deal with some dependent and independent components, Smarandache proposed neutrosophic sets (NSs) in the late 1990s, which were developed in the 21st century.…”
