Emerging Targets for Stimulation-Refractory Movement Disorders

Abstract: Deep brain stimulation has proven an effective addition to the optimized medical management of some primary movement disorders. Sustained symptomatic improvement has been demonstrated for Parkinson's disease, forms of dystonia, and essential tremor.
