Empirical Green’s Function Simulations Toward Site-Specific Ground Motion Prediction for Kopili Fault of NER India

Abstract: We report new findings for producing broad-band ground motion time histories (1–19 Hz) of a future earthquake in a sedimentary basin based on the application of extended rupture modelling together with the use of empirical Green's functions (EGFs). This technique is used to model a MW 6.0 earthquake in Kopili fault zone (KFZ) north-eastern India (NER).
