Encuentro (Encounter)

Abstract

The poem exposes the encounter that the author experienced as she confronted her ideas, fears, and perception of the border between Mexico and the United States. The poem hopes to present the difficulty of leaving in the borderlands and the themes and theoretical ideas that emerge from living in this space.
