Energy consumption structure and economic growth in the Russian Federation

Abstract: Energy consumption is an indicator of the level of economic development in almost any country. Russia is in fourth place in the world in terms of the amount of electricity generated. Between 1990 and 2017, the amount of electric energy consumed in the country increased by one percent, however, the capacity of power plants in the Russian Federation increased by 27.7%.
