Abstract:The energy~ensity relation for liquid helium-3 has been computed to first order in the reaction matrix occurring in the formalism of Mohling and his collaborators, using the Frost-Musulin potential. The single-particle potential and the binding energy have been computed in a completely self-consistent way without making any of the usual approximations such as the effective-mass approximation, etc. The first-order calculations give a binding energy of -0.85 K at a Fermi momentum k v = 0.80 ~-t.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
