Abstract:Drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles, can be used as air base stations (UAV-BSs) for telecommunications. They prove useful in situations where the network is overloaded or unavailable due to natural disasters or maintenance work. UAV-BSs grant access to user/IoTs sensors on the ground, but their electromagnetic signals may suffer losses because of their dynamic capacity to provide access at different altitudes. These losses lead to transmission impairments, such as attenuation, fading, and distortion. To overco… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
