“…Aside from the conventional method used for drying and preserving fish, forced convection cabinet drying is one of the effective preservation techniques for fish, since proper preservation methods are important for maintaining a constant food supply to the population while also maintaining and retaining its taste and quality. Forced convective cabinet drying has a lot of advantages over the other types of drying, which include: simplicity in terms of construction, uniform drying capabilities, and it dries from the inside out, more effective and shorter time required for drying, protection from contamination, availability throughout the year in all weather conditions, and improved product quality (Ahmadi et al, 2021;Getahun et al, 2021;Kamarulzaman, Hasanuzzaman, and Rahim, 2021). The limitation of cabinet drying is the non-uniformity of the final moisture content of products.…”

“…Over the recent years, wind energy has become a promising alternative renewable resource for fossil fuels [6][7][8][9][10]. In this regard, wind farms or wind power plants have been developed all over the world to utilize this costeffective energy source even in remote areas with high potentials [11][12][13]. The applications of wind energy are growing rapidly.…”

“…It could also assist in supplying water to remote areas for agricultural purposes. The total solar radiation incident on the Nigeria surface is stated to be around 12.6MJ/m days in coastal zones but it is affected by the change in climate (Ahmadi et al, 2021;Blimpo & Cosgrove-Davies, 2019). Food preservation has recently attracted global interest as it helps in bridging the gap of shortage during scarcity of food materials, such as tomatoes, in the quest to meet the sustainable development goals (SDGs 2030), especially SDG No.…”

“…The traditional means of drying in open sun is not new to many homes in the rural settings in the country. Sun drying is one of the most widespread and cheap methods practiced by most developing and underdeveloped countries, especially in tropics, where good sunshine hours available throughout the year (Ahmadi et al, 2021;Blimpo & Cosgrove-Davies, 2019). In this process food commodities are laid on a platform in a thin layer for uniform drying.…”
