Abstract:Mesoscopic photonic crystals (MPhC) are composed of alternating photonic crystal slabs (PhC) and homogeneous material. MPhC structures combine PhC dispersive properties (self-collimation and slow light, among others) with reflectivity control (Bragg mirrors).
