“…Numerical simulations have been conducted to verify the performance of EDBHE production for 30 years. The findings showed that the average annual heat production rate in this period of EDBHE is 463.2 KW, equal to 1.27 times compared to DBHE and that the heat production rate and outlet temperature depend mainly on the artificial soil concrete area [17]. The results demonstrated that the energy extracted from EDBHE is 1002.4 KW and 424.45 KW from DBHE equivalent to 2.36 times, as well as the fixed payback period of 3.12 years and 7.17 years for DBHE, which paves the way to expansion and acceleration of EDBHE systems in the future.…”

“…Some researchers have also gone further to investigate enhanced thermal conductivity zones using a soilcrete zone created through jet grouting, enhancing the thermal power by 1.27 times in contrast to normal grout (Yu et al 2021). However, Yu et al (2021) conclude that the length/radius of the zone are more important than its thermal conductivity considering typical ranges. Some studies have considered insulation of the DBHE casing and inner pipe.…”

“…Another endeavour involves implementing an alert system for sensors that measure temperature and humidity [11]. A temperature and humidity rise, followed by an alarm, would go unreported, necessitating the use of a durable device that incorporates an alerting and data recording system to report temperature readings monitored by the sensor via SMS to the user or responsible party [12]. A limited number of manufacturers have integrated microprocessors into their products for the past three decades in order to reduce the number of circuits and, consequently, the price paid by end users [13].…”
