Abstract:The Overhauser effect in paramagnetic ions is studied theoretically for arbitrary values of electron and nuclear spins. The nuclear magnetic resonance enhancement and the degree of nuclear polarization are computed in the high-temperature approximation. The results show the possibility of obtaining simultaneous and enhanced NMR at more than one characteristic detection frequency when the hyperfine interaction is dominating. The NMR enhancement and nuclear polarization are found to be independent of the electro… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
