“…Figure 2 shows the thermal analysis of PPVA-AlPO 4 composite formed with different pH values (7)(8)(9)(10)(11)(12) and from the figure, the SDTA traces indicate the broad endothermic peak in the temperature range of 30-250 • C. We observed weight losses at four different reaction stages. (1) The first stage of weight loss is due to the elimination of water/moisture from the crystals around 120 • C, and a similar stage of loss around 120-260 • C is due to the elimination of water coordinated with that of AlPO 4 .…”

“…Moreover, the degradation parameters of PPVA-AlPO 4 composite, e.g., electrochemical, aqueous, and thermal stabilities, are influenced by the morphology of AlPO 4 , which depends on the pH solution applied during the formation of AlPO 4 particles. Since the solution at pH of 10, 11, and 12 produces the AlPO 4 morphology to be varied from nanoparticles, nanorods, to nanowires, it is highly necessary to investigate the effect of pH on the formation of PPVA-AlPO 4 composite [12]. Therefore, in the present study, we have investigated the effects of varied reaction pH towards the structural, thermal, and morphological characteristics of the PPVA-AlPO 4 composite.…”

“…PPVA was prepared according to a literature method. Briefly, 2.0 g of PVA, 10 mL of phosphoric acid (85%, w/w), and 1.0 g of carbamide were mixed with 10 mL of ultrapure water and heated to 90 °C with constant magnetic stirring for 3 h to esterify the PVA with phosphoric acid. The solution was then cooled to room temperature and the solid matter was separated by pouring in 50 mL of ethanol slowly with stirring.…”
