Enhancement Drip Dose Infusion Accuracy Based on Optocoupler and Microcontroller Sensor

Abstract: Setting the speed of infusion drops in a manual manner is by adjusting the clamp on the infusion set, where the nurse must count the number of infusion drops in the chamber at the same time as looking at the time on the watch. This makes the setting is subjective and cannot be shown with numbers. In addition, nurses cannot monitor the infusion rate continuously. Therefore, it is necessary to enhancement the accuracy of giving infusion drops so that they can be objective and can be shown with numbers and monito… Show more

“…Depending on the manufacturer of the infusion set, the infusion chamber could alternatively be bigger or smaller. We need to develop an optocoupler sensor that can be put trustably in all brands in order to be ready for the future [18]. The following scientist created a Blood Warmer device using the DS18B20 temperature sensor and This project seeks to build a completely automated hot water dispenser that can be managed by a blind person without endangering themselves or others using an Arduino Mega and a DS18B20 temperature sensor.…”

“…The infusion chamber might also be larger or smaller depending on the infusion set brand. To prepare for the future, we need to create an optocoupler sensor that can be installed reliably in all brands [16].…”

“…Macro drip is use for adult patient, and micro drip for child patient. [10] However, these medical device can sometime have inaccurate measurements. In some hospitals, the infusion is still done manually, where medical personnel observe the liquid droplets directly and then control the rate using a mechanical resistor (clamp).…”
