Enhancing online distance education in small rural US schools: a hybrid, learner-centred model

Abstract: Online distance education (ODE) is widely acknowledged to have the potential to deliver an individualised, learner-focused educational experience that facilitates the communicative and collaborative skills needed by the twenty-first-century workforce for lifelong and independent learning.
