Ensemble Teaching for Hybrid Label Propagation

Abstract: Label propagation aims to iteratively diffuse the label information from labeled examples to unlabeled examples over a similarity graph. Current label propagation algorithms cannot consistently yield satisfactory performance due to two reasons: one is the instability of single propagation method in dealing with various practical data, and the other one is the improper propagation sequence ignoring the labeling difficulties of different examples. To remedy above defects, this paper proposes a novel propagation … Show more

“…Since an ESN has a sufficient number of internal units, the information from the inputs can be expanded to a higher dimension to produce the best solution [ 44 , 45 , 46 ]. Thus, ESNs have been used in EEG signal analysis [ 32 , 33 , 34 , 35 ], brain modeling [ 47 , 48 , 49 ], and various engineering fields [ 28 , 29 , 30 , 31 ].…”

“…In this study, more importantly, we have used an echo state network (ESN), a branch of reservoir computing which is one of the powerful algorithms in machine learning techniques, to discriminate attention states using in-ear EEG. The recurrent property of reservoirs (internal units) in an ESN has been used to provide powerful prediction of nonlinear time series data [ 28 , 29 , 30 , 31 ]. Since EEG signals are highly nonlinear and nonstationary, an ESN has been used for EEG prediction, such as monitoring epileptic seizures [ 32 ], distinguishing ERP signals elicited by emotional stimuli [ 33 , 34 ], and decoding the intention to move in different directions [ 35 ].…”

“…All these recommendation methods include text analysis, deep learning Gong et al 2017;Li et al 2017), collaborative filtering, and multiple network (Deng et al 2019), but those existing methods are lack of considerations of the multi-dimensional features ) of prediction (Kuang et al 2018(Kuang et al , 2019 and recommendation. Meanwhile, their approaches focus on recommending reviewers for new PRs, but the recommended reviewers include all developers, not only the core developers.…”

“…Meanwhile, the SWT algorithm is first introduced into this field. Social Media event detection is a major direction of visual event analysis [55,56,57,58] and text attribute is a critical part of semantic visual attributes [59,60], so a text recognition method, the SWT algorithm [61,62,63,64], which is used for text detection comes into being. The algorithm mainly utilizes the uniform width of the stroke and the expansion joints also have a uniform width, so it is selected.…”
