Abstract:Metal Additive Manufacturing (MAM) produces complex, part geometries from a variety of materials in powder and wire form. Due to complexities of MAM processes that create those geometries, especially powder bed fusion, quality assurance, and qualification remain an ongoing challenge. Quality assurance involves assessing the quality of a part's geometry, surface finish, and mechanical properties. Currently, quality assurance is not easily achieved due to variations in the powder inputs, the MAM process itself, … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
