“…Thus, it eventually increased the grain-size and thus 1000 grain weight. The present results are in line with the results obtained in literature [ 21 ], where addition of manures along with inorganic fertilizers increased the plant growth parameters. Thus, the present results demonstrated that for optimum growth of plant, 100% N can be replaced with some portion of manures.…”

“…The application of organic manures showed a positive impact on plant height and panicle length, however significant increase in case of poultry manure+75% N was observed over the control. The results for plant height might be due to the presence of high N content in manures, particularly in poultry manure, which favoured the vegetative growth of basmati [ 21 ]. The highest panicle length of basmati with application of poultry manure+75% N was possibly associated with the higher P content in poultry manure, whereas untreated plants showed least panicle length as compared to the treated ones.…”

“…The application of poultry and farmyard manure improves the crop productivity and soil nutrient (Zn, Cu, Fe and Mn) concentration [69][70][71]. In another 40-year long-term study, the application of organic fertilizers considerably increased the maize and soybean yield and soil productivity [72].…”
