Envenomation caused by the bite of the snake Bothriechis schlegelii. Report of two cases in Colombia

Abstract: La mordedura de serpiente del género Bothriechis es frecuente en regiones de Colombia como el eje cafetero. Debido a sus costumbres arborícolas y su actitud defensiva, por lo general estas serpientes muerden a agricultores en sus miembros superiores y rostro.
