Numerous environmental issues, particularly those with higher risks, have steadily come to the forefront of the public's concerns in recent years with the increased awareness on environmental quality. For example, air pollution is one of the main causes of death worldwide and contributes to the rise in the risk of chronic diseases. In the Turkish city of Adana, air pollution has long been recognised as a serious environmental and health concern with well-documented negative consequences on human wellbeing. Although important, little is known about how the general public views the risk of air pollution. Thus, this paper focuses on risk perception and behavioural intention to air pollution. Adana city in southern Turkey was chosen as the study area. The results showed that sociodemographic factors and perceived risk of familiarity with air pollution are significant factors influencing Adana inhabitants' willingness to pay for bettering the air quality. Additionally, it implies that the authority might provide a significant contribution by creating strategies to lessen the effects of air pollution on people, particularly in cities where air pollution is a problem.

Nigerians Over the last decade, there has been a greater awareness of the complex relationship that exists between the growth of cities and the state of the environment. However, much work remains to be done to improve the quality of cities' environmental conditions to achieve developmental goals. Like most developing countries, faces environmental management challenges such as waste management, water pollution, air quality, carbon emissions, conservation and preservation of nature, climate change, city transportation, housing development, park, and gardens. The evidence suggests that adequate measures have not been taken to balance development goals with the need to maintain environmental quality. This paper investigates the strategies associated with environmental management and the success of sustainable cities. The Likert scale was used in the study. The study also used simple regression and Chi-square goodness of fit to determine the relationship between the study variables. According to the findings, the critical p-value of 9.487729 is greater than the computed value x2 0.1844. The coefficient of r 0.0001 is greater than the critical value of 9.487729. The study discovered a strong link between environmental management and the long-term viability of cities. This research will provide a foundation for stakeholders, government, and environmental management challenges.

Sustainability has emerged as a critical concern in any viable physical planning and development. Hence, the Malaysian government has promoted the concept of green procurement also known as Government Green Procurement (GGP) that aims to minimize environmental degradation. In GGP, life cycle perspective thinking is introduced where life-cycle cost (LCC) tools act as decision-making in controlling the initial and future value of building ownership. Despite the increasing importance of green procurement and LCC in the planning phase of green projects, the viability and implementation of LCC is still lacking. Many have stated the benefits of LCC in green procurement for green building projects, however the criteria of LCC are not clearly determined. The study aims to determine the important level of LCC components relating to the green project planning phase. Questionnaire survey was distributed to 50 respondents composed of project team members that were involved in the selected green government projects. 32 respondents returned their responses to the survey. The results revealed that the highest rank of LCC components in green procurement is energy consumption cost, greenhouse gas (GHG) savings cost, acquisition cost, energy simulation cost and utilities cost. These results would elevate the use of LCC in the green procurement adoption and viability of green projects.
