Abstract:We study the equivalence conditions of two asymptotic formulae for an arbitrary non-decreasing unbounded sequence { }. We show that if is a non-decreasing and unbounded at infinity function, { } is a non-decreasing sequence asymptotically inverse to the function , then for each sequence of real numbers satisfying an asymptotic estimate ∼ , → +∞, the estimate () ∼ (), → +∞, holds if and only if is a pseudo-regularly varying function (PRV-function). We find a necessary and sufficient condition for the non-decrea… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
