Abstract:Brownian yet non-Gaussian phenomenon has recently been observed in many biological and active matter systems. The main idea of explaining this phenomenon is to introduce a random diffusivity for particles moving in inhomogeneous environment. This paper considers a Langevin system containing a random diffusivity and an α-stable subordinator with α < 1. This model describes the particle's motion in complex media where both the long trapping events and random diffusivity exist. We derive the general expressions o… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
