The topics in contemporary community pharmacy practice include self-care pharmacotherapy, point-of-care testing in pharmacies, health and wellness screenings, public health promotion, medication therapy management (MTM), vaccines and immunizations, leadership, business management, effective communication, patient counseling, and other direct patient care services ( Bullock and Horne, 2019 , O’Sullivan et al, 2020 ). Moreover, having more rotations and field training in the various sectors of the pharmacy profession, such as rotations in community pharmacies and the pharmaceutical industry, is now an essential part of the advanced pharmacy practice experiences (i.e., internship year) and the introductory pharmacy practice experiences.…”
