Estrutura Do Dossel E Características De Perfilhos Em Pastos De Capim-Piatã Manejados Com Doses De Nitrogênio E Períodos De Diferimento Variáveis

Show more

“…A greater proportion of stalks, in places where pasture is managed to greater heights (Table 1), may be the result of the high competition for light between the tillers in these places. Consequently, the upper part of the canopy intercepts more photosynthetically active radiation (Santos et al, 2017).…”

“…The tiller is the basic unit of the grass, and the structural characteristics of the tillers determine the structure of the pasture. The largest number of live tillers is essential for the productivity of the pasture, as long as there is no compromise in its growth (Santos et al, 2017). A greater density of tillers ensures denser pastures, which sustains more livestock units (Fonseca et al, 2013).…”

“…In terms of ruminant feeding, a lower stem proportion is desirable, meaning a greater number of green leaves and lower fiber content, with a consequently better nutritive value [19]. However, it is worth mentioning that the higher amount of DMSS obtained when the nitrogen fertilization was applied on the day of BRS Piatã defoliation is due to the higher grass production in this treatment, since more developed tillers require more robust structural organs to support the greater weight of the plant [20].…”

O nitrogênio aumentou o comprimento da lâmina foliar e do colmo do perfilho vegetativo.…”
