Estudo morfológico do tecido hepático de Leporinus macrocephalus

Abstract: RESUMO. Show more

“…The network of blood capillaries showed vessels that were anastomosed and drained by centre-lobular veins. These findings are similar to other teleosts (Akiyoshi, Inoue, 2004;Bombonato et al, 2007). The bile ducts observed in the three species had a simple cubic epithelium, which becomes columnar in large ducts similar to other teleosts (Vicentini et al, 2005;Faccioli et al, 2014).…”

“…The macroscopic and microscopic findings observed in zebrafish liver were similar to those found in other teleosts [1,2,4]. The liver location in the medial portion of the coelomic cavity, its size and shape were due to an adjustment to the space occupied by other organs during the embryonic development [2].…”

“…Moreover, another important role of the liver in fish is that it serves as an indicator of their nutritional and physiological status [1]. Due to the metabolism functions, it also serves as environmental pollution bioindicator in this species [5].…”

“…In the liver parenchyma of H. platyrhynchos, the hepatocytes are arranged in cords and it was no division in lobules and portal triads was observed, as evidenced in other teleosts (Kendall & Hawkins;Hampton et al, 1985;Gonzalez et al, 1993;Vicentini et al, 2005;Bombonato et al;Bertolucci et al). The hepatocytes of H. platyrhynchos are polygonal and present basal nucleus and apical cytoplasm with few glycogen granules but large amount of lipids, similar to observed in Sparus aurata (El-Bakary & El-Gammal, 2010).…”

“…According to Bruslé & Anadon, although there are variations between the species, the liver of teleosts in general presents three lobes. The main cellular type of the liver is the hepatocytes which are arranged as cords forming cellular plates, each of which separates several lacunae: the vascular (sinusoids) and biliary (canaliculi) network (Eurell & Haensly, 1982;Bruslé & Anadon;Bombonato et al, 2007).…”
