Abstract:Zinc oxide flower-like nanorods (ZnO NRs) was successfully synthesized via the hydrothermal method. The growth process was conducted with seed layer concentrations of 20mM. The as-synthesized nanostructures were characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), atomic force microscope (AFM), and ultraviolet-visible (UV-VIS) spectrophotometer. The analysis results revealed a pure Wurtzite ZnO hexagonal nanostructures with preferred orientation (002) along the c-direction. The calcula… Show more
“…They have been used in organic reactions as solid supports for the immobilization of ionic liquids. [11][12][13][14] Similarly, nanostructured silica or silicon dioxide nanoparticles are other nanoparticles that have drawn great attention because of their high stability, low toxicity and potential to be functionalized with a range of substrates such as molecules and polymers. These nanostructured reagents with notable properties can make improvements in biomaterial conjugates with different hybrid nanomaterials.…”

In this work, a comparison between the catalytic activity of two piperazine based ionic liquids immobilized on ZnO NPs and SiO2 NPs is presented in the synthesis of benzoxazoles and benzimidazoles.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
