“…The practice of conservation has a long history in Ethiopia which dates to Emperor Zerea Yacob (1434-1468) (Teressa, 2017), and Ethiopia becomes one of the few countries in the world which uses the management of protected areas as one of the strategies to conserve fauna and ora with a high level of endemic species in the country (Tefera, 2011). Though the country is a signatory to Convention on Biological Diversity and rich in biodiversity, all the protected areas are being threatened by a growing human population, unsustainable natural resource management, poor enforcement of existing legislation, insecure land tenure and very low public awareness of the impact of climate change and the importance of biodiversity and ecosystems (Young, 2012).…”
