The level of knowledge and awareness of the Indonesian people towards preventive efforts of various diseases related to the oral cavity and teeth has not been optimal. The importance of the role of self-effort in optimizing oral cavity hygiene and inhibiting the growth of various types of harmful bacteria that can lead to plaque formation, dental caries, causes of gingivitis, and periodontitis, such as: bacterial species Streptococcus mutans and Porphyromonas gingivalis. The combination of green tea, cloves, cinnamon bark, and mint leaves containing secondary metabolites from the sterols, tannins, phenols, saponins, and flavonoids groups has traditionally been used as antibacterial, anti-plaque and anti-aviation. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve understanding of health and prevention of infections in the oral cavity and teeth, as well as assistance in training skills in making herbal combination mouthwash with simple formulations for Posbindu partners. This activity was attended by lecturers and students of the D-3 Pharmacy Study Program, Department of Pharmacy, Poltekkes Kemenkes Bandung. Changes in health knowledge and skills of Posbindu partners were evaluated by giving pre-test and post-test questions. In the results of the evaluation of health understanding and skills, there was an increase in the total score of Posbindu partners in the 1 st session of 20.41% from 67.35% to 87.76% (14 people were achieved, initially only 7 people exceeded the minimum score limit of 60.00%; N=14). Meanwhile, in the second session of Posbindu partners, the score increased by 28.57% from 63.64% (pre-test) to 92.21% (post-test) with the number of people who exceeded the minimum score limit of 11 people (post-test) from the pre-test results. the previous test was only 5 people (N=11). Thus, the better the health knowledge, attitudes, and skills of Posbindu partners in processing various herbal ingredients into herbal mouthwash products, it will create an increase in the degree of oral and dental health for the community.

Background: Medicine is one of the most essential elements in health service efforts. Good drug management will affect the availability of drugs and improve the degree of health in the community.Objectives: This study aims to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of drug management at the Tegal City Pharmaceutical Installation in 2021 related to compliance with the Indonesian Ministry of Health and WHO indicators.Methods: This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Data was taken retrospectively through document tracing and supplemented with qualitative data through interviews to deepen findings in the field. Data obtained and the results of interviews with the Head of Installation and pharmaceutical personnel, totaling five respondents, will then be compared with standard indicators from the Indonesian Ministry of Health and WHO. Data analysis in this study used indicators of selection, procurement, distribution, and use of drugs. The values of the indicators that have been obtained are subsequently compared with the existing standard values.Results: The results of drug management research at the Tegal City Pharmaceutical Installation are at the selection stage of proposing drugs to Fornas. The procurement stage of drug suitability with Fornas is 96.4%, the fund allocation percentage is 92%, and the planning accuracy is 95.7%. The distribution stage of the level of drug availability 12-18 is 13.92 months, the accuracy of the number of distributions to the Puskesmas is 100%, the percentage of drugs experiencing empty stock, dead stock, and overstock is 0%, the percentage of damaged and expired drugs is 0%. The use stage of drug items per prescription is 3.5 drug items, the percentage of antibiotic use in non-specific patients is 30.7%, the percentage of non-pneumonia Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) antibiotic use is 34.2%, and myalgia injection use is 0%.Conclusion: The conclusion of drug management at the selection, procurement, distribution, and use stages in 2021 carried out at the Tegal City Pharmaceutical Installation has yet to follow standards. Of the 14 indicators studied, only 8 follow the standard, and 6 other indicators still need compliance to evaluation.

Diarrhea is characterized by the excretion of liquid stools with a frequency of three or more times a day, due to gastrointestinal infections due to food and water contaminated with microorganisms, or directly from humans due to poor sanitation. This study was to determine the characteristics of diarrhea patients, treatment and cost-effectiveness of treatment at Putri Hijau Hospital, Medan. The non-experimental research is descriptive and retrospective in nature of financial patient medical records from July to December 2018. Cost Effectiveness Analysis as a method of cost analysis. The characteristics of the patients obtained were 14 women (46.670%) and 16 men (53.33%). The effectiveness of New Diatabs (92.30%) and New Diatabs Metronidazole (94.11%). The cost of therapy with New Diatabs is Rp. 1,547,771/patient and New Diatabs Metronidazole is Rp. 1,562,590/patient. Average cost-effectiveness New Diatabs Rp. 190,345 and New Diatabs Metronidazole Rp. 183,060, so it is concluded that the cost-effective therapy is the use of the combination of New Diatabs Metronidazole compared to New Diatabs.
